Celebrating Life, Purpose, and Possibility

Celebrating Life, Purpose, and Possibility During National Assisted Living Week

A move to assisted living may change where someone lives or the support they receive, but it doesn’t change who they are.

Our residents are parents and grandparents, friends and neighbors, professionals and volunteers, travelers and storytellers. They have passions, talents, memories, opinions, traditions, and experiences that have shaped who they are. And just as importantly, they still have new experiences to enjoy, relationships to build, and meaningful moments ahead.

At Jacaranda Trace, we believe assisted living should support all of that.

As we recognize National Assisted Living Week, September 13–19, 2026, we’re celebrating the individuals who call our community home—and reminding ourselves of something that should never be forgotten: behind every need for support is a person with a lifetime of stories and a life that is still being lived.

Established by the National Center for Assisted Living in 1995, National Assisted Living Week is an annual opportunity to recognize the role assisted living plays in the lives of older adults and their families while celebrating residents, team members, volunteers, and the relationships that make these communities special.
